Alan Cunningham Alan is an experienced strategic Marketing professional with the ability to create and deliver excellent marketing strategy and products having built successful advertising and design companies from inception, and worked in several major blue chip organisations.

Whilst at Totalize Alan has developed effective marketing strategies and campaigns for UK based clients including; Malcolm Group, Amey, Memex Technology, Wiseman Dairies, Denholm Shipping, Envirotyre, Saltire Taverns, NHS, Dundee University, City of Edinburgh Council , Stirling Council, North Ayrshire Council, Renfrewshire Council, and ASSIST.

 

He has also developed worldwide marketing strategy for Memex Technology and won two marketing awards for work on Malcolm Group rebranding.

 

As co-owner he was responsible for the set-up of Frame Cunningham, from inception, winning four IPA Awards for effectiveness and Sales Promotion of the Year award for the Daily Record ‘Disney’ promotion.

 

In that time he developed Key Accounts including: Daily Record, Sunday Mail, Trinity Mirror Digital, First Press publishing, British Aerospace, Courage Scotland, Scottish Brewers, Glengoyne Single Malt Whisky, Cutty Sark, Moet & Chandon, Ladbrokes Casinos, Stakis Leisure, Dundee University, Fife College, Global Video, Sterling Mills Designer Outlet Village, Imperial Cancer Research Fund, Radio Forth, Scottish Football Squad, Scottish Milk, Scottish Premier League, and the Scottish Sun.

 

Whilst at Stakis, Alan was responsible for the marketing of all facilities, including restaurants, public houses, casinos, and night clubs throughout the United Kingdom. At Scottish & Newcastle he was responsible for all on-trade product marketing, sales budgets and strategy, and ran the sponsorship activities for company, including developing the McEwan’s Lager sponsorship of Glasgow Rangers, and the McEwan’s sponsorship of Sailing Series and Edinburgh Jazz Festival.

 

With Thomas Cook he was responsible for developing sales promotions opportunities with third party organisations and created the company’s first third party promotion at Thomas Cook Holidays with Wella products.
